The first U.S. outpost of Canada-based boba tea chain Boba Boy will soon install in the space currently occupied by CreaTea Cafe & Desserts in the heart of San Diego's Pacific Beach.
Founded by Thomas Lin and Peter Lee in 2017, Boba Boy is a chain of fresh-made boba tea bars which currently operates four locations in the Ontario province of Canada and seven more in British Columbia. Boba Boy offers a menu centered aroud handcrafted teas, including tapioca tea, milk tea, and bottled fruit teas. Each location also offers an array of fresh juice, mousse lattes, and smoothies.
The first United States location of Boba Boy will open at 1001 Garnet Avenue in San Diego's Pacific Beach neighborhood as early as this summer. The branch will be operated by Wallyworld Trading Inc.
