Shake Shack To Grand Open Fourth San Diego Location In Little Italy on April 28

With three San Diego locations already in operation, New York City-based Shake Shack will open the doors to its 2,680 square-foot flagship branch in Little Italy on Sunday, April 28 at 11am. The first 100 people in line when doors open will receive a custom San Diego Richer Poorer t-shirt!

Shake Shack is a critically acclaimed, modern day "roadside" burger stand known for its 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches and griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle cut fries and more. A fun and lively community gathering place with widespread appeal, Shake Shack has earned a cult-like following around the world.

The newest Shake Shack, located at 2008 India Street in close proximity to both the San Diego Freeway and the Pacific Highway, will feature a patio with ample seating for guests and will be dog friendly. In keeping with Shake Shack’s commitment to green architecture and eco-friendly construction, the Little Italy Shack's tabletops will be made by CounterEvolution using reclaimed bowling alley lanes, chairs will be designed by Uhuru using sustainable materials, and booths will be crafted by Staach using lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

In addition to the classic menu, the Little Italy Shack will be spinning up a unique selection of frozen custard concretes include the Pie Oh My vanilla custard with slice of four & twenty blackbirds seasonal pie, the Caramel Con with vanilla custard, salted caramel, sugar cone pieces and chocolate sprinkles, and the Shack Attack with chocolate custard, fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough, Mast Brothers dark chocolate chunks, topped with chocolate sprinkles The menu will also feature the California-exclusive Roadside Double, a double Swiss cheeseburger topped with Dijon mustard and onions simmered in bacon and beer. Guests can wash their burgers down with local brews from Modern Times Beer, Stone Brewing, AleSmith Brewing Company and Thorn Brewing plus Shake Shack’s exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister Ale. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass of Shack Red and Shack White wine from the Gotham Project.

In celebration of the Little Italy opening, Shake Shack has teamed up with Executive Chef Anthony Wells of Little Italy's popular Juniper & Ivy to re-create a limited edition "ShackMeister" burger available at only Juniper & Ivy from April 22-28. The ShackMeister will feature two housemade patties made from a mix of hanger, short rib and chuck from Flannery Beef, stacked on a house-fermented potato roll and topped with beer-infused raclette cheese, shallots and a rendition of the traditional Shack Sauce.
