James Coffee To Open North Park Location

May 1, 2019

San Diego's James Coffee Co., which currently operates outposts in the Bankers Hill and Little Italy neighborhoods, will soon expand with the opening of a third area location in North Park.

James Coffee Co. began in 2014 with a small-batch roasting facility in a warehouse off the Pacific Highway that it shared with San Diego Customs motorcycle shop. The company launched its first coffee house as part of The Space boutique in Northern Little Italy and expanded to Bankers Hill in 2018 with an outpost on the base floor of The Louie Lofts retail and residential building, which neighbors the brand new Extraordinary Desserts. James Coffee products are also available at other San Diego spots, including Por Vida, BiGA, The Nat San Diego at Balboa Park, and Dia Del Cafe.

For the new North Park location, founder and head roaster David Kennedy will continue his tradition of building custom furniture for each coffeehouse. Located on the base floor of the building that houses the Hardihood shared office complex, the new outpost will offer a food and drink menu similar to Little Italy and Bankers Hill, offering tea and coffee creations like espresso, lattes, cappucinos, and cold brew coffee, as well as a lineup of sweet and savory treats from San Diego's Le Parfait Paris, which is also in the process of opening a Belgian beer bar and waffle house in the North Park community.

The new James Coffee Co. location aims to install by this summer at 4379 30th Street in North Park. For more information, visit jamescoffeeco.com.
