Three former Oysterfest organizers have teamed up to create a legacy music festival at the scenic Embarcadero Marina Park North in downtown San Diego. Bayfest will take place on Saturday, June 1, from 1-10pm, offering a fun festival atmosphere and a reggae-based lineup with live performances by Slightly Stoopid, Tribal Seeds, Fortunate Youth, Don Carlos, Hirie and Band Of Gringos

"We helped organize Oysterfest for 7 of the 12 years it was in our city and on those years, we were bringing some of the hottest acts in the reggae industry to the Embarcadero," said Bayfest founding partner Mikey "Beats" Beltran. "When Oysterfest didn’t come back in 2018, we three organizers, local San Diegans, stepped up to create a legacy festival that San Diego could call it’s own. We couldn’t be prouder of the bands who have stepped up to stand with us as we roll out Bayfest in 2019. I mean seriously, look at this bill. If it was a burrito, it wouldn’t need any hot sauce because it is FIRE!!!"

In addition to high energy musical performances, Bayfest will offer an eclectic array of local food vendors including taco stands, as well as local bartenders pouring craft beer and cocktails. There will also be an assortment of area vendors selling their wares.

Tickets for Bayfest are available online for $40 for general admission and $100 for VIP. For more information and to purchase passes, visit SanDiegoBayFest.com.
