A festival centered around margaritas, spirits, local food and upbeat live music is taking over downtown San Diego's Waterfront Park on Saturday, August 17, offering a fun lineup of local and national concert acts including headliner Everclear, a sold-out cornhole tournament with cash payouts, and a showcase stage featuring salsa dancing, a tequila competition, cooking demonstrations, interactive experiences and more. The San Diego Margarita Fest will feature the best margaritas San Diego has to offer, as well as offering the perfect blend of an upscale-meet-beachy environment that defines the laid-back atmosphere San Diegans love. Expect a variety of hand-poured and frozen margaritas from top-shelf tequila brands including Cabo Wabo, Avion, Altos, Rock N Roll, and Califino. The featured margarita of the day will be The Don Sandia Retreat Signature Cocktail from Sycuan Casino & Resort. For those looking for a little extra, the Corona Beach Bar will be serving top beers including San Diego’s own Ballast Point, as well as Corona, Pacifico, Modelo and Four Corners. There will also be tacos, mariscos, burgers, BBQ, and cajun treats to soak up all the alcohol. To cap off the day, there will be live performance by multiple bands including the San Diego Steel Drum Band, 1980s dance music group Spazmatics, Alt-rocker Alinea, Bob Marley-tribute group One Drop Redemption, Jimmy Buffett-tribute act Aarratte Wilkin & The Parrotheads, and headliner Everclear, known for radio hits Santa Monica and Father of Mine.
