As part of Little Italy Food Hall's expansion into the space directly across from Piazza Della Famiglia is a new concept from Sam The Cooking Guy.
San Diego's Little Italy Food Hall has been packing the house since debuting within the 10,000 square-foot Piazza della Famiglia on Date Street in summer 2018, but there will soon be more stalls to sample as founder Grain & Grit Collective is in the process of nearly doubling the footprint into the space directly across the European-inspired community gathering space. The first announced concept to be a part of the expanded food hall is a new eatery from YouTube sensation Sam "The Cooking Guy" Zien, who is the designated face of the food hall and also the founder of the popular Not Not Tacos stand.
Zien will be taking some of his favorite dishes and design 1,600 square-feet of the new space to replicate his own home kitchen for Graze By Sam The Cooking Guy. The eatery will have roll up glass windows opening up into the plaza and offer a menu featuring shareable plates, salads and sandwiches. Graze will also have a full bar and bottle show with beer and wine. There is no word yet on what vendors will occupy the expanded food hall space, if any.
Graze by Sam the Cooking Guy is expected to open at 555 West Date Street in Little Italy in early 2020. For more information, visit littleitalyfoodhall.com.
