Bake At Home Pizza & Pasta Concept Coming To La Jolla

February 23, 2020

A take-and-bake pizza & pasta shop is coming to San Diego! American Pizza Manufacturing will soon open in La Jolla, offering meal kits made with local and organic products.

"American Pizza Manufacturing is really a celebration of the greatest generation era when hard-working American families ate together around the dinner table on a nightly basis," explained company founder Andrew Melone. "Life is more complicated now, we understand that. So, our concept is simple. We exist to help families eliminate the hassle of meal planning and preparation. We utilize the finest ingredients to assemble fresh, delicious meals for our customers, made to order and never frozen. You bake it when you’re ready."

From Andrew Melone, American Pizza Manufacturing will open this spring in the space that last housed La Jolla Liquor & Deli. The eatery will house a 1,700 square-foot kitchen and will sell a variety of 12-14'' pizzas to be baked at home, as well as ready-to-eat pasta dishes, salads, and desserts. The location will also house a small market with a variety of grocery items and a selection of beer and wine for take away. Ordering will be available by phone, online and through a custom smartphone app. Malone’s love for pizza led him to become an early investor in the now-defunct Chicago-based HomeMade Pizza Company, a similar bake-at-home concept which made Oprah’s list of the "50 Best Pizzas in America" and once operated more than 40 locations around the United States.

American Pizza Manufacturing is expected to open by April at 7402 La Jolla Boulevard in La Jolla. For more information, visit americanpizzamfg.com.
