World Famous Laugh Factory Comedy Club Opening In Downtown San Diego

Hollywood's world-famous Laugh Factory Comedy Club is opening a location in downtown San Diego as early as tonight.

Founded in Los Angeles in 1979 by stand up comedian Jamie Masada, the World Famous Laugh Factory has been recognized as one of the top comedy clubs in the country and now has locations in Long Beach, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Reno, in addition to the flagship outpost on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The clubs are known for featuring comedy's top stars and have hosted such legends as George Carlin, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Dave Chappelle, Rodney Dangerfield, Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Foxworthy, Redd Foxx, Andy Kaufman, Sam Kinison, Martin Lawrence, Jay Leno, David Letterman, Eddie Murphy, and so many more. In 2014, The Laugh Factory took a summer residency inside Hotel del Coronado’s Carousel Room.

The sixth location of The Laugh Factory will soft open as early as tonight on the basement floor of downtown San Diego's The Keating Hotel in the space that last housed Pussycat Dolls Dollhouse. The new branch is anticipated to kick off its grand opening at a yet-to-be-announced date with a live performance by headliner Russell Peters, one of the highest-paid comedians in the world. Day to day operations will be managed by General Manager Enrique Salazar. There will be a full bar and a food menu featuring light snacks.

The Laugh Factory San Diego is expected to have regular hours starting Friday, February 28, at 432 F Street inside The Keating Hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter. For more information, visit laughfactory.com.
