Highly Anticipated Solomon Bagel & Donuts Unveils This Week In San Diego's North Park

April 13, 2020

After a substantial delay, a longtime bagel pro will bring his patented recipes to San Diego's North Park with the opening of Solomon Bagels & Donuts, opening for take-out and delivery this week with a menu of NYC-style bagels, donuts, pastries, coffee and more.

Taiwanese immigrant Jeffrey Wang spent nearly two decades honing his bagel craft in New York City before moving to Portland, Oregon to launch his mini-empire of five Kettleman Bagel Company locations, which began in 2006 and sold to bagel behemoth Einstein Bagels in 2011. Wang moved to San Diego about seven years ago after he decided to retire, but his passion for baking remained strong. Identifying a need for traditional East Coast-style bagels in San Diego, Wang decided to pursue the opening of a specialized eatery in North Park.

Solomon Bagels & Donuts will open for take out and delivery starting this Friday, April 17. Expect a menu centered around boiled-then-baked bagels in a wide variety of flavors, from the ever-popular everything to poppy seed, salt, cinnamon raisin, onion and more. Bagels can be made into sandwiches or topped with an array of house-made cream cheese spreads - from veggie to smoked salmon to sun-dried tomato and marionberry to a large variety of vegan options. There will also be an eclectic array of sandwiches, salads, soups, fresh-baked donuts, breads, pastries, and coffee creations.

Solomon Bagels & Donuts is located at 4152 30th Street in San Diego's North Park neighborhood. For more information, visit solomonbagels.com and check out the menu and photos below.
