San Diego's 4-year-old Eppig Brewing is returning to North Park with a new satellite tasting room, at least temporarily, having taken over the 5,000 square-foot space that last housed Waypoint Public.
Eppig Brewing will soon move into the expansive former Waypoint Public space in the heart of North Park. The brewery plans to occupy the property on a temporary basis until the owner sells the space, aiming to open by this Thanksgiving and hoping to stay until early spring. Depending on meal requirements, Eppig may partner with a local San Diego restaurant or chef, or possibly use the onsite kitchen for their own concise menu. Expect plenty of Eppig's award-winning beers to be on tap and available for take-away, ranging from German lagers and classic West Coast IPAs to kettle sours.
"We always wanted to return to our original neighborhood where we have a loyal local fanbase so we have been looking at real estate in the community for some time," explained Eppig Brewing founder Stephanie Eppig. "If the location sells too quickly, it may not happen, but we are hoping to stay through the spring and find another North Park space at some point."
Eppig Brewing aims to open its satellite tasting room by late November at 3794 30th Street in San Diego's North Park. For more information, visit eppigbrewing.com.
