Rapper Wiz Khalifa Brings Virtual Restaurant To San Diego

October 2, 2020

Rapper Wiz Khalifa has launched his delivery-only virtual restaurant in San Diego called HotBox by Wiz, featuring a 420-friendly menu of munchies curated by Wiz himself.

HotBox by Wiz launched this week in San Diego and is available on all major delivery apps, including Postmates, DoorDash, and UberEats. The "ghost kitchen" concept is also available in Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Denver, New York City, Houston and Chicago, featuring a menu of wings, chili, burgers, and sandwiches. Expect items like the Hot Cheetos Buffalo mac n' cheese bites, buffalo cauliflower, and the Blazed OG fried chicken sandwich, as well as healthier options like rice bowls and salads. The virtual restaurant is already receiving not-so-stellar reviews

Wiz Khalifa partnered with virtual restaurant brand curator Nextbite to start HotBox by Wiz. More locations in major cities will be added monthly based on fan voting, which is available online. The 32-year-old Khalifa is known for hit songs like and Remember You and Say Yeah.

Virtual online-only "ghost kitchens" are likely to be a growing trend as diners more frequently choose to have meals delivered rather than dining at restaurants. Just this past week we announced local celebrity Sam The Cooking Guy is in the process of launching a multi-concept eatery operated mostly online from the former Buster's Beach House in Seaport Village.
