Chula Vista Brewery To Open New Brewpub & Barbecue Restaurant In San Diego's South County

November 21, 2020

Chula Vista Brewery is gearing up for a big expansion that will include the opening of a brewpub & barbecue restaurant in San Diego's South County.

Chula Vista Brewery was founded in spring of 2017 in the heart of 3rd Avenue by Timothy Parker. Parker, who moved to San Diego from Chicago to serve in the Navy, was an avid home brewer and beer lover and wanted to bring his love for craft beer to San Diego's South Bay. After leaving the military in 2019, Parker has had the time to fully devote his time to his brewery and recently began canning his beers. Chula Vista Brewery cans are now available at Sprouts, Grocery Outlet, Bevmo and other area liquor stores. Last year, Chula Vista Brewery won a bronze medal for his American-style brown ale at the Great American Beer Festival.

A second branch of Chula Vista Brewery is in the process of installing in the expansive space that last housed The Brewhouse at Eastlake. The new location is expected to open as early as February 2021 and will house an onsite 10 barrel brewing system with a kitchen pumping out authentic Texas barbecue from Oak & Anchor, a pop up that frequently supplies food for patrons of the original Chula Vista Brewery.

Chula Vista Brewery will open in early 2021 at 871 Showroom Place, Suite 102, in San Diego's Eastlake community. For more information, visit chulavistabrewery.com.
