YouTube Sensation MrBeast Launches Take-Out-Only Burger Eatery In San Diego

December 19, 2020

YouTube sensation MrBeast has expanded his online empire by launching a new chain of 300 take-out-exclusive burger restaurants across the United States, including branches in downtown San Diego and Carlsbad.

Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson, who has nearly 50 million YouTube subscribers, is best known for his high-stakes challenge and charitable give away videos. He recently started his MrBeast Burger chain by opening a quaint takeaway eatery in North Carolina. In a video titled 'I opened a restaurant that pays you to eat at it' that was first shared today, MrBeast documented the opening of his first MrBeast Burger where he enticed customers with a sign outside offering free food. Thousands lined up outside the restaurant and nobody went home empty-handed as MrBeast gave away $100 cash with every order as well as brand new iPads and even a car during the opening. After thousands lined up to sample the eatery, he decided to expand across the U.S. and this weekend launched 300 online-exclusive eateries in nearly every metropolis, including downtown San Diego.

"I just launched 300 restaurants nationwide!," tweeted MrBeast. "Just go on your favorite delivery app and order a MrBeast Burger! WE’VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR FOREVER AND IM SO EXCITED!"

MrBeast Burger is now delivering from the kitchens at Buca di Beppo locations in San Diego's East Village and Carlsbad. The concept is owned by Robert Earl, founder of such restaurants as Buca Di Beppo, Planet Hollywood and Earl of Sandwich. MrBeast Burger is one of a handful of celebrity ghost kitchens controlled by Earl under his Virtual Dining Concepts brand, which also includes DJ Paulie D’s Italian subs, Mariah Carey’s Cookies and Mario Lopez Tortas, to name a few. MrBeast Burger is currently available only through delivery apps like UberEats, Doordash, Grubhub, and Postmates, offering a concise menu with smashed-patty burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken tender sandwiches, fries, and chocolate chip cookies. Every burger bought will also give back to charity, helping feed hungry families in need.
