Orange County seafood chain California Fish Grill is launching its fifth San Diego location in the north county city of Escondido.
First opened in 1998, California Fish Grill currently has 45 locations around the Orange County, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Arizona. The first San Diego County outpost opened in 2017 in Mission Valley, and since then, additional restaurants have popped up in Carmel Mountain Ranch, Mira Mesa, and El Cajon. The newest San Diego County location of California Fish Grill will open in the former Five Guys space in the plaza off West Valley Parkway in Escondido.
California Fish Grill is a counter-service eatery centered around affordable-yet-sustainable seafood offerings. Known for its seafood tacos, the lengthy menu has a variety of charbroiled and fried seafood dishes, including taco combos, chowders and salads, as well as plant-based and vegetarian options.
