Opening this summer in San Diego College Area is Diamond Palace, an enormous Chinese restaurant and event space.
From the owners of Mira Mesa's Golden Island Chinese restaurant, Diamond Palace is a 15,000 square-foot Chinese restaurant and banquet hall set to open later this year in the building that last housed Crystal Palace (and Lucky Star Seafood before that) in the San Diego State University College Area. Diamond Palace will offer an all-day menu of Chinese dim sum dishes, as well as Cantonese entrees and small plates.
The gigantic space will also house a pair of stages and two dance floor, so it will be available for special events like weddings, birthday celebrations and business parties. Like Golden Island, expect frequent live performances, including jazz music.
