Riley Hawk's Steel Mill Coffee Relocating In San Diego's North County

April 5, 2022

The son of legendary pro-skateboarder Tony Hawk is relocating his Steel Mill craft coffee shop in San Diego's North County.

From professional skateboarder and North County native, Riley Hawk, who is the eldest son of Tony Hawk, Steel Mill Coffee opened in early 2019 in a 900 square-foot space in South Oceanside. Hawk teamed up with fellow skater Shea Cooper to open Steel Mill, which serves coffee and espresso concoctions made using James Coffee beans, as well as offers a small menu of pastries, other food items, and a retail area selling vinyl records.

Steel Mill Coffee shuttered at 605 Mission Avenue in Oceanside late last year and is in the process of relocating to the space that previously housed Tin Gypsy Decor in downtown Vista, CA. The new Steel Mill will embrace music and skateboarding culture and now serve their own signature coffee roasts. as well as cold brew, Match tea, and fruit sodas. They will continue to have a used vinyl record swap and also host live music dubbed Live at the Mill.

Steel Mill Coffee aims to open by this summer at 253 Main Street in San Diego's North County city of Vista. For more information, follow Steel Mill on Instagram
