Canada-Based Steveston Pizza Company Brings Elevated Seafood Pizza To San Diego

April 27, 2022

Opening soon in San Diego's Hillcrest community is Steveston Pizza, a Canada-based restaurant concept that serves a menu centered around pizza pies loaded with fresh seafood.

Founded in Vancouver, Canada, in 2008, Steveston Pizza is the product of Chef Nader Hatami, a longtime corporate culinary trainer for luxury cruise lines who wanted to transform the concept of eating pizza into a truly epicurean experience. Steveston Pizza offers a menu of over 20 signature, 12-inch pizzas, all made with 100% organic crusts with most topped with a variety of over-the-top seafood options.

Steveston Pizza is now open in the 3,800 square-foot, bi-level building in Hillcrest that has sat dormant since Empirehouse Urban Palate shuttered in 2019. Highlights from the menu include the Water pizza with shrimp, crab meat and basil pesto; the Marguerite Four pizza with smoked salmon, onions, mushrooms, and a Swedish mustard drizzle; and the $130 Hurricane pizza with shrimp, prawns, eight Canadian lobster tails and smoked salmon. The restaurant will also have a full bar with cocktails, beer and wine.

Steveston Pizza is currently in its soft opening stage at 127 University Avenue in San Diego's Hillcrest with an official grand opening planned for early May. For more information, visit stevestonpizza.us.
