Replacing Volcano Rabbit in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter is Johnny WAHOO Golf Bar, a new sports simulator venue & restaurant from RMD Group.
San Diego's RMD Group was founded in 2008 by industry-veterans Mike Georgopoulos, Dave Renzella and Dan Renzella. The hospitality company has been expanding in downtown San Diego over its 14-year tenure and is behind such concepts as Rustic Root, Ciro's Pizzeria, Huntress Steakhouse, and Lumi by Akira Back. RMD has also sold off and shuttered several additional concepts over the years, including transferring FLUXX Nightclub, F6ix, and Sidebar and closing Don Chido and Salvucci's.
RMD Group will soon begin outfitting its former Volcano Rabbit space in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp to become Johnny WAHOO! Golf Bar. Expect several stalls with Full Swing Golf Simulators capable of playing an array of games. There will also be a full bar with cocktails, beer and wine, and a tavern-style menu with shareable plates, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads and burgers.
