Amps & Ales Craft Beer Music Festival Returns To San Diego's South County This September 17 | Save On Passes & Enter To Win Tickets

Craft beer and live music return to downtown Chula Vista for the annual Amps & Ales Festival on Saturday, September 17, and promo code SDVILLE saves on tickets.  

Local and international brews, bites, and beats converge at this year's Amps & Ales, where craft beer connoisseurs will get a chance to taste award-winning hops from over 35 breweries while taking in the live sounds from 2 stages in the heart of downtown Chula Vista. Hosted by the Third Avenue Village Association, attendees will be able to stroll along Third Avenue while enjoying unlimited tastings from breweries, distilleries and wineries, with local food vendors on site selling delicious dishes. This year’s music lineup includes a mix of latin, reggae, soul funk and will be headlined by The Routine and BSide Players. 

"Chula Vista’s craft brewery scene has seen a huge increase over the last several years," said Dominic Li Mandri, District Manager of the Third Avenue Village Association. "As the second largest city in the county, this event not only showcases the incredible brewers, but also allows the community to taste some award-winning brews from Chula Vista’s finest."  

Tickets to Amps & Ales are available online. General Admission tickets are $45 and include entry into the event from 1pm-4pm, while VIP tickets are $60 with early entry into the event an hour before general admission (access from 12pm-4pm). Promo code SDVILLE saves $5 per ticket. Ticket proceeds benefit the Downtown Chula Vista Association, a 501(c)(3) charity that advocates on behalf of its members' best interests in the areas of public safety, beautification, promotion, and economic development, while preserving the unique cultural resources and community that exist in the heart of Chula Vista.

With the first brewery opening in 2015, Downtown Chula Vista has quickly become the home of the South Bay’s craft beer boom. Over 8 breweries and tap rooms call Third Avenue home, including Bar Sin Nombre, Chula Vista Brewery, Groundswell Brewing, The Balboa South, The Vogue Tavern, Third Avenue Alehouse, Thr3e Punk Ales, and the newest addition to the avenue, ATTITUDE Brewing Co.
