San Diego's Little Miss Brewing Launches Balboa Park Tasting Experience

September 2, 2022

San Diego's 6-year-old Little Miss Brewing is continuing its local expansion with a new tasting experience in Balboa Park.

Husband and wife Greg & Jade Malkin founded Little Miss Brewing in San Diego's beer-drenched Miramar neighborhood in 2016. With immediate expansion as a goal, the couple opened a Normal Heights satellite tasting room in 2017 while also working to install a location in Ocean Beach. Unfortunately for them, residents and township administers of the overly protective beachside community were opposed to more breweries moving into the neighborhood, resulting in problems that caused the Malkins to abandon the OB tasting room project after already investing substantial funds.

Little Miss Brewing didn't let one small hurdle derail the budding company and now has addition tasting rooms in downtown’s East Village, La Mesa, Escondido, Lakeside, Poway, its brewing headquarters in Miramar, and an incoming branch set to open within the plaza that also housed Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Chula Vista's Eastlake neighborhood. The company also recently took over an 8,000 square-foot warehouse in the Logan Heights area of San Diego for the opening of a new production brewery and tasting room.

Little Miss Brewing's latest endeavor is a tasting room as part of the San Diego History Center in Balboa Park. During exhibit opening hours, ticket holders will be able to learn about San Diego's beer history while enjoying a flight or beer from Little Miss Brewing. The experience is expected to run indefinitely during the museum's regular hours.

The San Diego History Center is located at 1649 El Prado within Balboa Park. For more information about Little Miss Brewing, visit littlemissbrewing.com.
