Bun & Patti To Bring Gourmet Burgers To Former Supernatural Sandwiches Space In San Diego's Little Italy

November 24, 2022

After several potential suitors have fallen through, the former Supernatural Sandwiches space in San Diego's Little Italy has been leased for the opening of Bun & Patti, a fine-casual elevated burger concept set to open next year.

From husband-and-wife partners Elion & Amy Prodani, who recently relocated to San Diego, Bun & Patti is a new fast-casual gourmet burger restaurant set to open next year in the space that last housed Supernatural Sandwiches in San Diego's Little Italy. Inspired by Elion's nearly two decades managing fine dining restaurants in New York and Las Vegas, including most recently overseeing the signature SW Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas, Bun & Patti will offer fine dining features inspired by a classic French bistro but with an affordable edginess of a New York City street burger spot.
"We are opening a fine-casual Burger concept," explained Bun & Patti co-founder Elion Prodani. "My background is in fine dining (NYC and Las Vegas) but this is a product of a lot of passion. The goal is to bring the restaurant experience to the masses without a hefty price while focusing on ingredients, fun and relaxing vibes. Fun is the key word here."
Bun & Patti will offer a menu centered around signature "Yummy ‘n Sexy Craft Burgers" made with 1/3lb. patties. Expect a variety of options, from vegan to a dry-aged beef patty from a single farm in north California. There will also be a variety of beer, wine and milkshakes, as well as chicken sandwiches, salads, wings, and side dishes like fries and onion rings.

The former Supernatural Sandwiches space has had a number of interested suitors since the eatery closed last year, including South County's popular TJ Oyster Bar, who is still looking for a northerly space to open a new branch.

Bun & Patti is anticipated to open by spring 2023 at 2171 Kettner Boulevard in San Diego's Little Italy. For more information, visit bunandpatti.com.
