San Diego Speakeasy Named on ‘World’s 50 Best’ North America Bars List

The World’s 50 Best organization has announced North America's 50 Best Bars of 2023 and one San Diego cocktail destination made the coveted list. 

East Village's "speakeasy within a speakeasy", Youngblood has secured the #49 spot on list of North America's 50 Best Bars. San Diego's Consortium Holdings hospitality group opened Youngblood in spring 2021 as part of the two year refresh of East Village's Neighborhood bar & restaurant. Young Blood is a speakeasy concept sited behind another speakeasy, Noble Experiment. The bar offers an "immersive", cocktail experience with multiple seatings per shift.

"San Diego’s CH Projects hospitality group (Raised by Wolves, False Idol, Noble Experiment, Polite Provisions, and more) has another hit on their hands with Youngblood," reads the write up on World's 50 Best North America's 50 Best Bars list. "The bar opened inside Neighborhood – where speakeasy Noble Experiment is also tucked away – in 2021 with Sam Ross of Attaboy (The Best Bar in North America 2022) fame part of the collaboration. The kitschy entrance, a lá refrigerator door, opens into a petite but gasp-worthy 16-seat bar that’s decked out to the nines with design details that channels Great Gatsby opulence."
