Earlier today, San Diego Police Department officers had an hours-long standoff with a naked man near City College in downtown San Diego.
Starting at around noon on Wednesday, January 17, SDPD officers engaged in a standoff with a naked man on a window's ledge. In video obtained of the incident, officers can first be seen gazing from street level at the naked man as he stood on the ledge of a second story window of The Beacon apartment complex at 1425 C Street in downtown San Diego. Hours later, the naked man was seen clinging to a ladder near the window as law enforcement personnel stared up at him from the neighboring rooftop of Hive Sushi Lounge.
The reasons behind the individual's nudity and the resolution of the situation remain undisclosed. We reached out to San Diego Police Department Public Information Officer, Lieutenant Adam Sharki, for more information and will update this post as we learn more.
