Named after the Italian word for postman, Postino WineCafé first opened in 2001 within a historic 1940s-era post office space in Phoenix, AZ. Founded by Lauren Bailey and Craig DeMarco, the company now has over 20 locations dotted around Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, and the first California branch in Irvine. As part of a nationwide expansion, Postino WineCafé opened its first San Diego County location on the base floor of new mixed-use building 2100 Kettner in Little Italy just last month.
The second area outpost of Postino WineCafé opens today inside the One Paseo retail complex in Del Mar. Like the Little Italy branch, the restaurant will serve a menu of shareable snacks, soups, salads, paninis, a dozen different types of bruschetta, charcuterie & bruschetta boards, and a selection of desserts. From the bar, expect a curated wine list, craft beer, and a host of non-alcoholic beverage options. On the weekend, the restaurant will offer a brunch menu with breakfast toasts, bowls, and morning-focused entrees.
Postino WineCafé is now open at 3275 Del Mar Heights Road within One Paseo in Del Mar. For more information, visit postinowinecafe.com/locations/postino-del-mar and check out the menu below.
