The Surf Club bar & restaurant is now open in the bi-level space that long housed Hello Betty Fish House in San Diego's North County.
This past June, after a decade in business, Hello Betty Fish House ended its run on the base floor of SpringHill Suites in downtown Oceanside. The hotel and restaurant space has been taken over by Oram Holdings, a family-owned hotel management company operated by Oceanside-natives Alvin and Kevin Mansour. The brothers also own and operate The Guild Hotel in Downtown San Diego and the incoming Granger Hotel Gaslamp Quarter, and their family has operated many business in North County, including the Haunted Head Saloon on North Tremont Street.
Although The Surf Club is already open, Oram Holdings plans to slowly renovate the two-story, former Hello Betty space over the next few months. They will begin by introducing a new menu and frequent live music nights at the property before performing a substantial remodel early next year. The menu includes casual tavern fare like appetizers, tacos, sandwiches, burgers, fish & chips, salads, bowls, and more, as well as a full bar with cocktails, beer and wine. The space will also collaborate with area chefs and food purveyors to offer onsite culinary events.
The Surf Club is now open at 211 Mission Avenue in San Diego's North County city of Oceanside. For more information, visit surfcluboceanside.com.
