Two people were sent to the hospital Sunday after being stabbed inside a bar & restaurant in San Diego's Ocean Beach.
According to witnesses, a fight broke out a little after 2am early Sunday morning in the adjacent eatery known as Bar Food within Sunshine Company Saloon on Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach. The male suspect, who appeared to be heavily intoxicated, pulled out a knife and stabbed two men. One man suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest and back, while the second man fled the scene but was later found with life-threatening injuries.
Police officers arriving at the scene detained the suspect, who was seen dozing off while in custody, outside the bar. The man, covered in blood, was also taken to a hospital to check for injuries possibly sustained during the fight.
The first victim is purportedly in stable condition after undergoingsurgery. The victim who ran away, eventually showed up at a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
