Tulum Seafood has opened in San Diego's Mira Mesa, offering an authentic menu of Mexican mariscos dishes.
Earlier this year, Delia Valdez took over a former Papa John's Pizza location off Camino Ruiz in Mira Mesa for the opening of a new dining concept centered around Mexican-style seafood dishes. Tulum Seafood offers a large menu of dishes, including fried whole fish, tostadas, ceviches, aguachiles, tacos, salads and full entrees, all available for dine in or convenient take-out from an onsite drive-thru window.
"Tulum, México is probably the most beautiful place I have been to, so when I decided open a restaurant, it had to have that name," explained Delia Valdez. "My family is from Nayarit, Mexico and I grew up preparing all kinds of seafood during my trips there. Having a 25-year career in recognized dine-in restaurants on the kitchen side, drive thru restaurants, and in popular seafood trucks in San Diego, I decided to fuse all in one, TULUM Seafood!"
Highlights from Tulum Seafood's vast menu include the Huevo Mexicano breakfast taco with scrambled egg, bell pepper, onion, tomato, avocado, cilantro, beans and grilled mozzarella on a corn tortilla; Camarones Aguachile with peeled butterfly shrimp in lime juice along with cucumber, red onion and avocado; the Tia Lupe smoked tuna taco with pinto beans and avocado; and the Huachinago Frito whole fried red snapper with Zarandeada sauce and rojo salsa. The restaurant also serves draft beer, micheladas, aquas frescos and other soft drinks.
Tulum Seafood is not open at 10631 Camino Ruiz in San Diego's Mira Mesa. For more information, check out the menu below.
