Dual concepts Camino Farms organic grocery store and Pichudo Mexican Grill will soon open its first of a dozen locations planned for San Diego County.
The Mission Valley location, housed on the ground floor of the Alexan Gallerie Apartment Complex, will blend a premium organic grocery store with a variety of food and drink offerings in a food-court-style setup. The market will feature organic produce, household essentials, beer, wine and liquor, as well as a "Miles to Market" system labeling the distance items traveled from source to store.
Camino Farms' dining options include a deli serving East Coast-style sandwiches on rosemary bread, a sushi bar with pre-rolled and made-to-order selections, a pizza bar, a shawarma bar, a fresh-pressed juice station, a coffee bar with pastries, and a gelato counter. Additionally, their in-house Mexican grill concept, Pichudo, will offer high-end dishes with a healthy, organic twist.
Pichudo will operate in its own attached space featuring a full bar, a 1,000-square-foot patio with fire pits, and TVs, making it a vibrant spot for dining and relaxation. Guests can enjoy surf-and-turf fries, sea bass tacos, al pastor cilantro rice bowls, and other specialties made using 100% grass-fed meats and wild-caught seafood. All items will be prepared with avocado oil or beef tallow, eliminating seed oils from the menu.

Following the Mission Valley debut, Camino Farms is preparing to break ground on a second location below the Design and Innovation building on the east side of campus adjacent to the amphitheater in the heart of the UCSD campus. This new branch will also feature the Camino Farms and Pichudo concepts, along with Triton Bar, all tailored for the student community with grab-and-go options and all the same high-quality offerings. The company hopes to have a dozen of these double concepts open all over San Diego by the end of 2030.
Camino Farms Mission Valley & Pichudo Mexican Grill will open in early January at 375 Camino De La Reina in San Diego's Mission Valley. For more information, visit caminofarms.com and pichudomexicangrill.com.
