Raising Cane’s grand opening celebration begin on September 10 with on-site giveaways and festivities. Between 7 and 8am, guests ages 13 and up can enter a "Lucky 20" drawing for a chance to win Free Cane’s for a Year, with winners announced shortly after. The first 100 dine-in Combo purchases will receive a commemorative hat and a free Box Combo card for a future visit, and the first customer in line will be greeted by the crew and presented with a one-of-a-kind gift basket.
Raising Cane’s says the Midway dining room was curated with local memorabilia honoring San Diego schools and notable figures. Guests can dine on a covered patio, or opt for the double-lane drive-thru for Box Combos on the go. The opening will also feature a check presentation to Point Loma High School athletics and a performance by the school’s cheer squad.
"Get ready to dust off the sand, leave the beach and follow the smell of our craveable Chicken Fingers directly to the steps of our new Midway Restaurant," said Area Leader of Restaurants Mark Condello. "Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first timer, we can’t wait to make Raising Cane’s your go-to spot in Midway for a hot meal, refreshing drink and good vibe every time you visit." The brand’s signature menu centers on hand-battered chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, and its cult-favorite Cane’s Sauce.
The Midway opening extends Raising Cane’s growing San Diego footprint, which already includes locations in Santee, Vista, Mira Mesa, Escondido, Chula Vista, El Cajon, and Imperial Beach, with additional area restaurants in the pipeline. Company officials have previously said they aim to build out to as many as 30 local sites over the next decade.
