Karina's Mexican Seafood opened its 6th outpost of its Mexican mariscos eatery at the base floor of the Capri 925 B Street building in downtown San Diego in January 2015. Last month, faulty pipes on the floor above the restaurant caused a flood, which forced the restaurant to close due to damage. Today, Karina's took to social media to announce that they are cutting their losses and have chosen not to reopen their downtown location, instead announcing that they will look for a new space nearby.
