A Quick Update on San Diego Beer Week | November 2-11, 2012

October 6, 2012

San Diego Beer Week is rapidly approaching.   Taking place the week of November 2nd to 11th, San Diego Beer Week features hundreds of events organized to honor and celebrate beer, all in one of the best brewing cities in the world (if not THE BEST).  Keep coming back to SanDiegoVille and we'll be sure to stay on top of all the Beer Week developments - like the ones below...

The San Diego Brewer Guild’s official kick off festival will be held at The Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier, which is located at 1000 N. Harbor Drive. Mayor Jerry Sanders and Sam the Cooking Guy will once again be tapping the first keg of the festival, leading into festivities including an array of beer and food pairings, live music and entertainment, and beer-related activities.

With the introduction of the San Diego Beer Week mobile website, beer enthusiasts will be able to navigate through SDBW’s over 500 events from their phones with ease.  The new mobile website will allow participants to not only easily search through SDBW events by date, location, type and distance, but also to save events of their choice to their personal calendar and rate their favorites. The mobile website can be accessed by visiting SDBW.org from a mobile device.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, San Diego’s Beer For Boobs group will be joining San Diego Beer Week at the annual Brewer’s Guild Festival on Saturday, November 3, 2012. The Beer for Boobs booth will give SDBW goers the chance to “drink pink,” as each of the beers served will range from shades of pink to magenta. Among others still to be determined, Beer For Boobs will be serving Boob Check (a collaboration that White Labs did with Colby Chandler at Ballast Point) and the Maui/Coronado BC collaboration, Hibiscus IPA at their San Diego Beer Week booth. All proceeds and sales from Beer For Boob’s presence at the San Diego Brewer’s Guild Festival will go to the fight against breast cancer.
