Taco Fights Return To The Blind Burro On Tuesdays This October | Local Chefs Go Head-To-Head In The 4th Incarnation Of This Popular Taco Competition

Every Tuesday this month from 7-9pm, starting October 6, East Village's The Blind Burro will host local chefs who will battle for taco supremacy at the 4th incarnation of the popular Taco Fights series. During Taco Fight nights, guests are invited to come in and try each chef's competing taco and cast a vote for whose was best. After the first three weeks, the winners of each week will compete in the grand finale on October 27. Admission to the Taco Fights are free and each event offers drink specials and samples of the competing tacos starting at $9.

During The Blind Burro's Taco Fights, guests can enjoy drink specials including $15 Ring of Fire, $7 Espolón Cadillac Margaritas, $5 El Silencio Mezcal Shots and $4 Dos XX Cans. A plate with the two competing tacos costs $9, or $16 with ceviche OR small guacamole and salsa flight; $26 with small nachos and Ring of Fire; and $18 for the winner's circle package with the competing two tacos plus the 2013 and 2015 Taco Fight winning tacos.

  • Tuesday, October 6 – ROUND 1 - Jeff Rossman of Terra vs. Jason McLeod of Ironside
  • Tuesday October 13- ROUND 2 -Keoni Simmons of BBQ House in Ocean Beach vs. Iker Castillo of Meraki
  • Tuesday October 20 – ROUND 3 - Priscilla Curiel of Talavera Azul in Chula Vista vs. Oso Campos of Tijuana's Kokopelli
  • Tuesday October 27 – CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND - Winner of each week will compete
