3rd Annual Oysterfest Is Today!!!

June 16, 2012

Today, the 3rd Annual San Diego OysterFest returns to the Marina Embarcadero North by Seaport Village for a day of beer, music, eats, and debauchery. Tickets are still available for what is sure to be a fun filled event.

This year, the event maintains its local focus with live bands and beer from area microbreweries, as well as plenty of fresh West Coast oysters and food offerings from a variety of San Diego restaurants.  Along with oyster shucking contests and cooking demos, this 21-and-over event spotlights some of California's favorite bands, including headliners Iration, plus Vokab KompanyThe Silent ComedyLittle HurricaneSplit Finger, and several DJs.

Presented by SDO Productions, Pacific Beach Shore Club, PB Fish Shop 91X radio, and many others, this year’s Oysterfest is sure to be a great party just like last year. Over 16 beers will be on offer, including local favorites from Coronado Brewing Company, Green Flash and Ballast Point, but if you prefer a cocktail or a wine with your oyster, they will also be served at the event.

In between musical acts visit cooking demonstrations by celebrity chef's, cheer on the teams in the shuck and suck competition to find out who San Diego's fastest oyster shucker is, and learn all about oyster farming in California at the Oyster Expo. This event benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training and the Veterans Research Corporation.

General admission tickets are $25 and VIP tickets are $100.   VIP tickets entitle purchasers to access to a private area with a complimentary food spread and beverage offerings. Both can be purchased online, so get ‘em while they last.  Doors open at 11:00am and the festival goes from noon until 7:00pm.
