Local Habit to Host 3rd Annual Classic Crawfish Boil Featuring Valiant Brewing and the Euphoria Brass Band | March 1-2

In anticipation of Mardi Gras, Hillcrest's Local Habit will celebrate its 3rd Classic Crawfish Boil on Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2 with banquet style creole delights on a first-come, first-served basis, including craft brew pairings from Valiant Brewing near Anaheim and jazzy live performances from the Euphoria Brass Band. Last year, over 500 lbs of crawfish were cooked up over the weekend for this exciting and festive event!

Baton Rouge, Louisiana-native and Local Habit Chef Nick Brune is back with another traditional Louisiana Crawfish Boil! If you’ve been to Local Habit's past crawfish boils, you know what a blast this event is, and if you haven’t, do yourself a favor and mark your calendar! A proper traditional southern Crawfish Boil is an event where family, friends and the community get together to eat, drink and socialize, so grab up your closest crew and get ready to devour some craw daddies!

Valiant Brewing has arranged to bring in noteworthy beers that have never been served in San Diego.
Specifically, the crescendo blonde lager will be on tap as well as a cask of the “San Diego style” alpha drive double IPA (conditioned w/ whole cone amarillo and simcoe hops) which will be tapped at noon on Saturday, 3/1. The cask will be on special at $4 a pour, accompanied by Valiant’s reps to discuss their beer with the guests and give away goodies from the brewery. All guests who wear beads to the boil will receive $1 off all beers.

On Sunday, March 2, the fantastic Euphoria Brass band will play some authentic NOLA style dixie jazz. Starting at 3pm they will be adding some festive music to the celebration, playing two sets throughout the afternoon.
