On Tuesday, March 25, Stone Brewing Tap Room opens on 8th Avenue and J Street in the space previously occupied by Wine Steals/Proper Gastropub, in the Simon Levi Company building adjacent to Petco Park. The space includes a pizza oven and first floor seating looking out on Petco Park, so in addition to Stone's line up of special releases and year-round craft beers, expect flatbreads and views of the San Diego Padres' home field. The Stone Brewing Tap Room will offer pints and taste of Stone's line up of crafts and specialty beers, as well as bottles for takeout and growler fills, and they'll also offer wines by the glass. The location will also have a food menu including a variety of flatbreads (with suggested beer pairings), as well as small plates, salads and desserts.
In addition to the new Stone Brewing Tap Room adjacent to the ball park, Stone will be opening an outdoor beer garden within Petco Park on the 5th floor behind home plate. That space is expected to be ready for opening day.
