Offering front-row sunset views, crisp ocean breezes, live music and delicious samples from area restaurants, wineries and breweries, the Del Mar Summer Solstice is one of our favorite events of the year and an exhilarating way to usher in summer. The annual event, presented by the Del Mar Village Association, will return for its milestone 10th year on Thursday, June 18, from 5-8pm at Del Mar’s Powerhouse Park.

With live music, a stunning Pacific coastline, culinary creations from Del Mar’s top chefs and curated selections from California´s best wineries and breweries, Summer Solstice offers an idyllic evening of West Coast summer fun. Live music performed by local band Semisi & FulaBula will set the tone with South Pacific rhythms as guests dine on delectable dishes from participating Del Mar restaurants. Local favorites include Pacifica Del Mar, Kitchen 1540, Cafe Secret, Del Mar Rendezvous, Bull Taco, PrepKitchen, Brigantine, Sbicca, Sea & Smoke, Jake’s Del Mar and more. T

Upon entering Summer Solstice, guests are each handed a souvenir stemless wine glass for sampling selections from many notable wineries and California breweries such as Ahnfeldt Wines, Arrowood Vineyards, Ballast Point Brewing Co., Bon Affair, Coronado Brewing Company, Culture Brewing Co., Ferrari_Carano, Firestone Walker Brewing Co., Gen 7 Wines, Gingered Pear, Girard Winery, Green Flash Brewing Co., GreenBar Distillery, Joseph Carr, Josh Cellars, Kendall_Jackson, La Crema, Opolo Vineyards, Pegasus Estate Winery, PRP Wine International, Quigley Fine Wines, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Stone Brewing Co., The Lost Abbey and Wente Vineyards.

Tickets to the Del Mar Summer Solstice are $85 until June 1 ($100 after that) and include unlimited bites and sips. For the ultimate Summer Solstice experience, VIP tables are available for for parties of 10 or more. Benefitting the Del Mar Village Association, proceeds from the event are dedicated to enhancing the vitality of the historic Del Mar Village. A silent auction will feature gifts and experiences from local vendors and sponsors. As the sun sets and the night comes alive, guests will be treated to a tiki torch paddle out and surf show by the Del Mar lifeguard crew.
