Live A Great Story And Tabletop Commons Team Up For “Live the Journey” On Thursday, July 2

June 14, 2015

Live a Great Story, a San Diego-based social movement and lifestyle brand, will join newly-opened board game bar Tabletop Commons in Hillcrest on Thursday, July 2 between 5 and 9pm for “Live the Journey,” an evening offering guests a variety of ways to sip, play and interact while benefiting the Hillcrest Youth Center.

“We’re excited to share our message of positive living with the people in our community, and just as importantly, we want to hear their stories at Live the Journey,” said Zach Horvath, founder of Live a Great Story. “It’s important for people to talk about their accomplishments, and even hardships they’ve overcome, so that they can inspire others. Through evenings like Live the Journey our goal is the make that happen and, little by little, create a more inspired world.”

Taking place throughout Tabletop Commons’ two floors of entertainment, this interactive evening invites guests to bring their friends and play their choice of 150+ board and card games – from classics like Sorry! to breakout hits like Cards of Humanity - while enjoying craft cocktails, casual fare, raffle prizes for games, gift cards and other gear, and a unique chance to interact directly with Live a Great Story. Throughout the evening Live a Great Story will host a “Story Station” where guests can share personal accomplishments and goals while perusing Live Great Story swag, including stickers, buttons, tees and tank tops. Ten percent of the evening’s sales will benefit the Hillcrest Youth Center, the only recreational center in San Diego dedicated to the needs of LGBTQ+ youth.

Live a Great Story is a San Diego-based lifestyle company encouraging people to “live a great story” through the pursuit of one’s interests and goals. To complement its line of inspirational tees and tanks and motivate the community, Live a Great Story shares individuals’ success stories through personalized videos, podcasts and blog posts. Ten percent of its sales go to Live a Great Story’s “Story Fund” for reinvesting in inspiring stories - whether it’s an individual working to better the community, a small business doing cool things or a non-profit. The company is also notable for its inspirational logo, which has been installed in more than 400 locations around the country and which Padres’ baseball star Matt Kemp, actress Reese Witherspoon and Grammy-nominated singer Jhene Aiko have organically endorsed via Instagram in recent months.

Live the Journey is an all ages event, no RSVP is needed and walk-in guests are welcome throughout the evening. Tabletop Commons is located at 1263 Universit Avenue in Hillcrest.
