San Diego's king of chicken wings has opened its third location! Dirty Birds has unveiled it's Liberty Station branch, which features the restaurant's signature lineup of more than 30 flavors of wings, as well as a 3,000 square sports bar filled with high definition televisions and a large outdoor patio looking out on The Loma Club golf course.
Dirty Birds Liberty Station is located in building number nine in the neighborhood’s booming northern Arts District precinct, in the former Wine Steals space directly as you pull into the historic Naval Training Center turned cultural destination from Lytton Street in Point Loma. The location offers Dirty Birds lineup of 37 different wing flavors, as well as sandwiches, salads, burgers, sliders, appetizers, and, like the College Area location, a selection of pizzas. Behind the bar there is an array of craft beers on tap, wine by the glass, and a full cocktail list.
Located directly adjacent to The Loma Club’s historic nine-hole golf course, Dirty Birds’ a large interior with booths and tables, as well as an expansive outdoor patio with HDTV's and its own bar. The eatery joins the culinary ranks of the booming culinary hub of Liberty Station that includes Liberty Public Market, Fireside By The Patio, Breakfast Republic and the incoming Officine Buona Forchetta. Dirty Birds founders Jon Ollis and Adam Jacoby first gained recognition with the opening of the restaurant’s original location in Pacific Beach in 2008 followed by a second outpost in 2015 near the college area at SDSU.
Dirty Birds Liberty Station is hosting an invite-only grand opening event on December 12 (5-8pm), followerd by a party open to the public with $4 Svedka cocktails and select drafts starting at 8pm.
