The most recent fast-service concept from James Markham - one of the founders of MOD Pizza, Pieology, Project Pie, Rolled Up, and Crack Heads - Doughballs will open beachside this summer in the former CBW Crazy Bowls & Wraps location in Pacific Beach, offering a menu of wood-fired pizzas & custom salads made to order.
Moving into 822 Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach, Doughballs will offer drive through service and operate late night, serving a lengthy menu of 00-flour and gluten free wood-fired artisan pizzas that only take 90-seconds to bake, as well as snacks and customizable salads. There will also be sous vide desserts and a rooftop dining terrace. Doughballs will also offering delivery by bicycle throughout PB, including beachside, through a dedicated smartphone app.
Depending on the success of the flagship location, more outposts may be opened in San Diego and beyond in the future. Doughballs is anticipated to open by late summer.
