San Clemente's Popular Biggie's Burgers & More To Open Location In San Diego's Pacific Beach

May 18, 2017

For more than 25 years, Biggie's Burgers & More, known for its massive 3-pattie “King Burger,” has been serving a no nonsense menu of burgers, ice cream shakes and more from its beachside spot in San Clemente. This summer, the popular burger restaurant will join forces with Thrusters Lounge in Pacific Beach and open on Mission Boulevard right across from the beach.

Originally a Fat Burger, what is now Biggie's Burgers & More first opened in San Clemente in 1991. The San Diego location will takeover the former laundromat and skate shop space adjacent to Thursters Lounge on Mission Boulevard in Pacific Beach. The restaurant will have a pass-through window into Thrusters, with the full offerings available inside the bar when it opens later this summer.  Expect a menu of classic Americana food items like big burgers, real ice cream shakes, sandwiches, chicken, home made onion rings, curly, thick and thin fries, fried zucchini, grilled cheese sandwiches, chili and more.

Biggie's Owner Richard Brown, an Air Force veteran, has been training former vets so that they could run their own Biggie's location, aiming to open up to 30 units across the country within the next couple years.
