After a decade in business, Zenbu Sushi closes its doors in Cardiff after end of service tonight, although the eatery announced that it will continue to operate within sister concept Rimel's Rotisserie.
Zenbu Sushi shuttered its original La Jolla in Spring 2014 after 14 years of business. Founded by Matt Rimel of Rimel's Rotisserie, Zenbu's Cardiff location opened at 2003 San Elijo Avenue across from the State Beach Campgrounds in 2008 and had an outpost in Petco Park during the 2015-2017 Padres seasons. Rimel's Rotisserie maintains in business with locations in Petco Park, La Jolla, Del Mar and Cardiff.
