Owner Of Kearny Mesa's Cafe Hue To Open Cafe Marea In Former Rubicon Deli Space In Mission Beach

December 11, 2018

The owner of Kearny Mesa's Cafe Hue has taken over the Mission Beach space that housed Rubicon Deli for nearly a decade and will open Cafe Marea, a casual breakfast and sandwich spot set to unveil later this month.

Founded by Nick Lee, who has been operating Cafe Hue creperie in San Diego's Kearny Mesa since 2009, Cafe Marea will offer a menu of fresh breakfast items, deli sandwiches, pressed paninis, Belgian Liege waffles, healthy smoothies, coffee drinks and craft sodas. The design of the eatery will not implement too many changes from what Rubicon had. There will be indoor seating within the 1,500 square foot interior and outdoor tables on Mission Boulevard.

Cafe Marea aims to open at 3819 Mission Boulevard in Mission Beach by the end of December. For more information, check out the draft menu below.
