Sirens Seafood Restaurant Is Coming To San Diego's Hillcrest Area

January 30, 2019

Opening as early as next week in the uptown area between Hillcrest and North Park in the space that last housed Pardon My French Bar & Kitchen is Sirens Bar & Restaurant, a casual seafood-centric eatery and bar from former Top Chef contestant Frankie "The Bull" Terzoli.

Last September, after less than a year in business, Frankie Terzoli shuttered his Fishmonger's Market & Seafood Bar within the now-defunct 57 Degrees Bar & Event Warehouse in San Diego's Mission Hills/Middletown. He promised to bring the concept to a new space and secured a lease at 3797 Park Boulevard on the border of Hillcrest/North Park in the space that was left dormant by last summer's closure of Pardon My French Bar & Kitchen.

San Diego-born chef Frank "Frankie the Bull" Terzoli was once a contestant on Season 2 of Bravo's hit Top Chef culinary competition and won an episode of Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen. He also has appeared on other food shows, including Chefs Wanted, Spike TV series Coaching Bad, Couples Therapy, and Man Vs Child. Terzoli started cooking at his uncle’s restaurant (the Venetian in Point Loma) as a teenager and has since cooked his way around the world at over 50 restaurants in more than 15 countries. He has opened several restaurants in San Diego over the years and has been an avid fisherman and sea captain since his 20s.

Sirens will offer a sea-focused menu that will include items like oysters, crudo, poke, clambakes, seafood boils, smoked fish, cioppino, seafood sandwiches, and larger entrees like passion fruit duck, whole branzino, an Italian beef and pepper sandwich, and prime ribeye. There will also be a full bar with craft cocktails, local beer and a curated wine selection. The restaurant will have a front patio and an expansive side deck with living walls and communal seating. Sirens will also debut a weekend brunch with a menu featuring items like authentic Belgian waffles, Benedicts, scrambles, a European breakfast platter, and more.

Sirens Bar & Restaurant is anticipated to open as early as February 8. For more information, visit sirenssd.com.
