Creative Creature Brewing, a small-batch brewery that launched in El Cajon last fall, will soon open a tasting room in San Diego's East Village in partnership with the brand new Red Hat Coffee.
"We are looking to make our beer more accessible," explained Creative Creature co-founder Derek Carnation. "Currently located in El Cajon, our brewery has been open since October. Instead of extending distribution to more accounts, we have chosen to stock a tasting room with just our offerings. Teaming up with Red Hat Coffee was a logical choice for us. Their delicious coffee paired with our uniquely different beers should go well together in the East Village. We offer IPA'S, Sours, Stouts and Lagers made with 100% all grain and real fruit."
Last year, homebrewers Derek Carnation and Andy Robles took over the long-dormant 933 square-foot space previously occupied by URBN St. Brewing to launch Creative Creature Brewing Company. Creative Creature Brewing will install its tasting room within the newly opened Red Hat Coffee at 440 16th Avenue within the new Shift luxury apartment building in San Diego's East Village within the next 6 months. Red Hat will continue to offer their coffee concoctions from their counter and tasting room off the main entrance. Creative Creature Brewing will have its own bar attatched to the coldbox section. Beer will be able to be consumed anywhere within the common space, including the outside patio.
