Los Angeles-based Asian-fusion restaurant chain Wokcano has opened its first San Diego County location.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2009, the Wokcano Restaurant Group has opened its 10th location at The Shoppes at Carlsbad in North San Diego County. Featuring an eclectic Asian fusion menu centered around sushi, maki rolls and modern riffs on traditional Asian fare, Wokcano's new location boasts a large outdoor patio for al fresco dining, an interior sushi bar and large communal tables, as well as a full bar with Asian-inspired cocktails, wine and sake.
Wokcano will hold a public Grand Opening celebration on Thursday, July 11, from 5-8pm, featuring complimentary small bites/appetizers, complimentary wine and champagne, all night food specials and offers, entertainment, and giveaways. The Grand Opening celebration is free and open to the public but reservations are required in advance.
