After Nearly Two Decades Serving San Diego, Pampas Argentine Grill Has Shuttered

July 31, 2019

For nearly two decades, Pampas Argentine Grill has been serving San Diego a menu of authentic Argentinian cuisine, but the longtime area restaurant announced today that it has ceased operations.

"Words can not convey the weight in our hearts to repeat the following words: Pampas Argentine Grill is CLOSED, effective immediately," explained a post on Pampas Argentine Grill's Facebook Page. "Due to circumstances within & beyond our control,  we are forced to hang up our aprons, chef's knives & wine keys. There will be no second chances, no reprieve, no raised glasses, no encore, no going away party & no final song. All good things come to an end. Life is messy ~ none of us gets out alive. Please know this; It has been an amazing journey over the last 20 years."

Founded in 2000 by Marco & Marta Hidalgo, Pampas Argentine Grill has received numerous media acknowledgements during its tenure. The restaurant will close effective immediately at 8690 Aero Drive, Unit 105, with no specific reason announced.
