Italian Deli, Market & Restaurant Unveils This Week In San Diego's East Village

Grand opening later this week in San Diego's East Village is The Foodery, an almost 4,800 square foot Italian market, deli, bar and restaurant from the team beind Little Italy's RoVino Rotisserie + Wine.

Rovino The Foodery will offer a full-scale Italian deli and market experience complimennted by an inhouse wine bar and Italian restaurant. From partners Tom Tarantino, Antonia Buono and Vincenzo Bruno - who opened RoVino in summer 2016 on a quiet stretch of Kettner Boulevard in San Diego's Little Italy - The Foodery is a one-stop-shop for all things Italian. Upon entering, guests will be greeted by an expansive Italian deli counter showcasing imported and domestic cheeses and a full bakery that will offer fresh-baked artisan breads, sandwiches, and Neapolitan pizzas. There will also be a specialty market featuring prepared food items, Italian beers and wines, a gelato bar, a coffee bar with freshly brewed Illy coffees, fresh pastas, sauces, salads and more. The Foodery will also house a wine bar with an onsite RoVino casual-concept Italian restaurant.

The Foodery's will host its grand opening on Friday, August 23, from 2-11pm. A portion of every sale will go directly to the Helen Woodward Animal Center. There will also be a special live broadcast of 97.3FM The Fan from 3pm-6pm hosted by Tony Gwynn Jr and Chris Ello talking Padres baseball.
