Beach Bumzz Baja Fusion To Open In San Diego's Pacific Beach

December 10, 2019

Taking over the 1,435 square-foot space that last housed Tony's Pizza in the heart of San Diego's Pacific Beach is Beach Bumzz Baja Fusion, a fast-casual eatery with an eclectic menu filled with a large variety of options.

From Dan Milles and Amir Mortazavi, Beach Bumzz is the duo's first foray into the restaurant industry. The space is currently undergoing a redesign to add a mural of nearby Crystal Pier to the wall, as well as other beach-inspired attributes. The eatery will also have a dog-friendly outdoor patio on Garnet with umbrellas for shade. The kitchen will be helmed by Executive Chef AJ Mortazavi, previously of Tower 13 Beach Bar in Cardiff, who has created a menu with a considerable array of dishes including 22 chicken wing flavors, salads, sandwiches, soups, tacos, burritos, burgers, fish and chips, and a handful of 10'' pizzas. There will also be shareable plates like ahi poke tostadas, seafood ceviche, sweet potato rolled tacos and more.

"As my passion for food grew, our long term goal is to express my love for my food and delivery it to the community of PB and provide a unique food experience for both the local community and tourists," explained co-owner Dan Milles. "Beach Bumzz is a new family operated concept focused on fresh food from a scratch kitchen using local, never frozen ingredients with fast and efficient service. Expect unique food based on Baja-infused culinary recipes that provide options and fresh choices. We are committed to the community and longevity of the restaurant serving San Diego and Pacific Beach."

Beach Bumzz aims to open on December 19 at 978 Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach. Based on the success of the flagship location, ownership is considering future branches in Ocean Beach and North Park. For more information, visit beachbumzz.com and check out the menu below.
