Mendocino Farms To Open Downtown San Diego Location On February 13

February 3, 2020

Los Angeles-based Mendocino Farms will unveil the company's fourth area restaurant in downtown San Diego on February 13.

After a successful debut with the opening of the first area location in The Shops in La Jolla Village in late 2016, Mendocino Farms sandwich opened a second San Diego outpost in summer 2017 in the Del Mar Highlands Town Center and a third area location last year as part of The Square at Bressi Ranch. The grand opening of their newest location in Downtown San Diego will take place on Thursday, February 13th. The Downtown opening marks the fourth Mendocino Farms location in San Diego (and their 32nd total), signaling the company’s further integration into San Diego’s dining landscape as they bring their seasonal, chef-driven menu of gourmet sandwiches and creative salads to a more densely populated urban area. A second San Diego location of Blue Bottle Coffee will join Mendocino Farms at Tower 180°

Mendocino Farms was founded in Los Angeles in 2005 by husband-and-wife team Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen. The sandwich and salad shop, which is heavily backed by Whole Foods Market, now has nearly locations spread throughout Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.

Throughout its expansion, Mendocino Farms has focused on creating playful yet polished neighborhood gathering places with thoughtfully designed details to serve the interests of the community. The Downtown San Diego location fills the lower level of the modern Tower 180 building, which recently underwent a full renovation by Hammer Ventures. The nearly 2,700 square-foot restaurant boasts floor-to-ceiling glass windows, pops of colorful tile and columns with live greenery, in addition to a 1,300 square-foot raised outdoor patio.

Mendocino Farms Downtown San Diego is located at the southwest corner of First Avenue and B Street at 180 Broadway, Ste 102, in downtown San Diego. For more information, visit mendocinofarms.com.
