A Chula Vista destination for Mexican comfort foods for the past 5 years, Birrieria y Menuderia Guadalajara will soon open a new location in San Diego's North County.
Hortencia and Martin Macias opened Birrieria y Menuderia Guadalajara in Chula Vista in 2015, offering a minimalist menu centered around five Mexican dishes - tacos, quesadillas, birria (stewed goat or beef meat), and traditional Mexican soups menudo and pozole. After 5 successful years, the couple is ready to expand to San Diego's North County and will open a location in Escondido this spring. The new eatery will open by this summer with the same menu as the flagship spot, as well as a menu of Mexican beers and Micheladas.
